Four years ago, while practicing law in Los Angeles, I became deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned with the legal profession.  Although the work was interesting it wasn’t rewarding, and after spending years believing that I would be able to help people with all that I had learned, I realized that I wasn’t doing that at all.  Worst of all, there was no way to change things from the inside out; the “big law” machine was too big, too rich and too entrenched to be moved by one crazy lawyer’s ideas about how it should be.  And so it would have to be done from the outside, from scratch, from the beginning.

In 2008, MyContractsGuy.com was founded, and a new way to practice law was born.  Our first priority would always be the client.  We would be dedicated to creative and intelligent practice; and not willing to settle for cookie-cutter solutions to real-life client problems.  We would charge half of our big-firm counterparts, and endeavor to deliver services that were as good, or better.  We would call back when we said we would.  We would be able to be reached.  We would answer questions with straight talk answers and not with more questions, or legal-speak.  And we did it.

Dozens of clients and hundreds of matters later, the decision was made to expand to Las Vegas, and in January, 2012, the Truitt Law Group was opened, serving clients in both California and Nevada.

Though we have grown, we remain dedicated the same principles that guided us when we first started.  We are believers.  We believe that there is still room for small firms in a big law world.  We believe that, in the end, great quality and great service always beats great pedigree and great letterhead.  We believe that the best way to get clients is also the best way to keep them: treat them fairly and do your best possible work.  We look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the legal community and the community-at-large for years to come.
